It’s been a long time coming for James Blake’s new album, too long to be exact.
Making his way back to the limelight with his feature cameo on Beyonce’s highly-praised Lemonade project, as well as his late-night BBC Radio 1 residency show, he now paints the city with his upcoming album title. Literally.
Last week, Blake posted a photo on Instagram of artist Sir Quentin Blake, who illustrated Roald Dahl's Matilda andJames and the Giant Peach, painting a mural in London that hinted at the artwork and name of Blake's upcoming album. The mural bore the words The Colour In Anything, although the UK crooner previously announced that his upcoming album would be called Radio Silence.
Today, the billboard makes its way across the pond for a spotted location in Williamsburg at N 15th and Banker.
No further details of the album, such as release date and tracklist have surfaced, yet the news follows his three shared songs “RPG,” “Modern Soul,” and “Timeless.”
