Minnesota Declares Beyoncé Day

But the local weather didn't get the notice.

It’s a good day for the Bee-hive.

By the official decree, Monday, May 23, 2016 is now Beyoncé Day in Minnesota. But too bad the local weather didn’t get the memo.

Governor Mark Dayton and Lt. Governor Tina Smith made the proclamation in coordination with Beyonce's planned performance at TFC Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Monday night. But due to severe weather, that concert had to be evacuated before Beyonce was able to perform with lightning threatening the open-air arena show.

The Minnesota Star Tribune reports that Governor Dayton made the official announcement yesterday, stating her influence on "many young girls and women with powerful, positive messages in her songs."

Unfortunately, due to severe weather, the concert had to be evacuated before Beyoncé was able to reign her glorious state-wide celebration. According to social media reports, the show has been postponed until further notice.
