Tupac Shakur’s Unreleased Music And Handwritten Notebooks Are Going Up For Auction

Thanks to Craiglist.

More than an iconic figure in music and culture, Tupac Shakur was a prolific writer and activist. And now, his unreleased music and handwritten notes are up for auction.

Several CDs featuring never-before-heard tracks by the rapper and three notebooks containing his writings are being sold by one lucky finder and collector, after a chance discovery on Craigslist. The seller’s father reportedly worked with Tupac for years and was in possession of three personalized notebooks containing ideas and lyrics, in addition to the unreleased material.

This is not the first time Tupac’s merchandise has been sold in the past, as the Moments in Time website sold a letter last October written by the legendary artists while he was incarcerated, for $255,000. But of course Pac’s relatives are not allowing his prize possessions to be sold that easily, as they are attempting to block any future sales. The newly surfaced mementos, which include notes for Tupac’s “Point Tha Finger” music video, are expected to command over $250,000 at the auction.

More details to come.
