LeBron got his wish.

TDE’s Top Dawg announced that a new project would arrive from his label this week and now we know it’s Kendrick Lamar’s untitled unmastered.

As To Pimp A Butterfly’s one-year anniversary mark draws near, Kendrick liberates a brand new eight-song EP featuring recordings from the TPAB sessions.

The collection, unmastered (hence the title), features rough cuts from the TPAB sessions and lists each song with the word “untitled” along with its recording date. For example, “untitled 03 05.28.2013” is the original unnamed song performed by K. Dot on the 2014 episode of The Colbert Report. While most of the musicians involved behind the scenes are mostly unknown producers, Swizz Beatz revealed on Instagram that his five-year-old son with Alicia Keys, Egypt, helped produce track seven on the project, “untitled 07 2014 – 2016.”

The release of untitled unmastered comes on the heels of Kendrick’s popular “Untitled” series of songs performed during his last string of TV appearances.

The red-hot verses were so in demand that LeBron James @’d Top Dawg begging for the tunes.

Several of these previously performed songs appear on untitled unmastered.

A placeholder on Spotify popped up earlier today (March 3) teasing the impending album drop. However, it has since been made available on iTunes.
