South by Southwest's music portion kicked off today (March 16) and First Lady Michelle Obama made sure to set things off right with her Let Girl’s Learn initiative and address.

The beautiful FLOTUS delivered her keynote this morning and discussed how the initiative plans to break barriers for the #62MillionGirls worldwide who are not in school due to lack of opportunity.

Queen Latifah moderated a panel discussion that involved the First Lady, Missy Elliott, songwriter Diane Warren and actor/activist Sophia Bush, which focused on girls pursuing passion, music and education.

FLOTUS reveals she wouldn't run for president.

Queen Latifah even went on to ask the First Lady if she ever plans to run for president. Although she confirmed that she will not be running for president she then stated that, “You don’t have to be president of the United States to do wonderful, marvelous things.”

Education for girls has been a top issue for Michelle Obama, and through her campaign she’s trying to make a difference musically. Before her keynote she announced the release of the song “This Is For My Girls,” written by Diane Warren featuring Missy Elliot, Zendaya, Kelly Clarkson and more.

The female empowerment anthem is available for sale only on iTunes, which you can purchase here.
