First Lady Michelle Obama will enlighten listeners and activists tomorrow (March 16) with her keynote address at SXSW. Joined by a star-studded keynote panel including rapper Missy Elliott, songwriter phenom Diane Warren, and actress Sophia Bush, as well as moderator and multi-talented Queen Latifah.
The women will engage in conversational perceptions of their life experiences and appoint "a dialogue on finding one’s passion, music, and the importance of girls’ education everywhere," the event description details. The First Lady will also be highlighting the Obama Administration initiative Let Girls Learn, which is an organization to aid in the assistance of girls completing their education across the globe. The event’s opening act, will be presented by Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment signees and viral YouTube singing sister duo Hailey and Chloe Bailey.
The address follows President Obama’s previous hosted keynote at SXSW last weekend, where he tackled climate change, health care, and was accompanied by J. Cole.
