In honor of B.I.G. Day yesterday (March 9), Joey Bada$$ paid tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. and the borough that forever keeps it thorough on a brand new song, "Brooklyn's Own."

Over the smooth, stylistic tunes of Statik Selektah, Joey connects the dots between boom bap and the groove, all the while splashing in a hinge of black Timb boot rap. "It's plain in Brooklyn, don't get your chain took when you're not looking," raps the Pro Era captain. "Ain't nothing worst than a Flatbush man with a gun in his hand ready to die for rubber band filled with a couple grand."
