Not breathing, no pulse was how rapper DMX was found last night (February 8), according to TMZ.
The rapper was found unresponsive in Yonkers, New York on Monday, when police officers responded to a call about an unconscious male outside the Ramada Inn. After arriving on the scene, officers performed CPR on the rapper’s body before his pulse later returned.
“This was an excellent job by the officers and they definitely saved the life," said Lt. Patrick McCormack to the Daily News, without mentioned X by name. "They found him in a lifeless condition with no breathing. They were able to bring back some breathing.”
DMX has since recovered and is now in stable condition.
As the rapper appears to have recovered, there are conflicting reports surrounding the cause of his collapse. While initial reports indicated that X suffered from an asthma attack, a witness on the scene reportedly told police that he invested a powdery substance before falling to the concrete.
In his response to the incident to Daily News, McCormack could only confirm that an unconscious 45-year-old man was treated by police in that Ramada parking lot.
