The relationship between 2pac Shakur and MC Hammer are intertwined as a staple to the story of hip-hop.

As a part of 2pac’s deal with Death Row, the iconic rapper was brought on as label writer for other Death Row recording acts, which tied the two artists together. Although Hammer’s album Too Tight never was released, 2pac contributed countless songs to the project, including a track produced by Big Daddy Kane titled “Too Late Playa.”

Over the years, Hammer and 2pac’s recording session videos have slowly surfaced to the web, and today a CDQ quality version of the track “Too Tight” can be heard in its entirety below. Produced by 2pac and Jose Fuentes, it samples Ohio Player’s “Skin Tight” and features MC Hammer sounding very reminiscent of 2pac’s wise flow.

It’s a cool throwback track that gives you an idea for the sonic packaging to the unreleased album.
