As an artist, you have to learn to laugh off the good and the bad. Not saying Adele’s Grammy performance was bad, but more so a reminder that when you’re performing on live TV, anything can go awry even for the best vocalists. And on today’s (February 18) episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the powerhouse songstress revealed she “cried pretty much all day” after the 2016 Grammys.

"I woke up the next morning to people in England being like, ‘We still love you, don’t worry,'" the 25 singer said, before adding with a laugh. "And I was like, 'I didn't ask you if you still loved me, but thanks!'"

Adele explained that the double mics for her and the piano, resulted in a strange guitar-like noise that disrupted her rendition of “All I Ask.” Otherwise, Adele said she thought the performance went really well, admitting, “I'm always a bit pitchy. I am! It’s emotion,” she laughed at.

Treating herself to a burger and a beer, and much of the next day reveling in crying bursts, she also joked, "In fairness, I would have cried if it went really well, as well. If it had been a stand out performance I would have cried. I always cry."

Despite the sound set-back, Adele’s live vocal prowess is well-known and documented. And for good measure, she opened her appearance on Ellen with a pitch perfect take on “All I Ask.”

Watch Adele and Ellen have a candid exchange of voicemail drops and her time in LA with her son at Disney Land.
