Kanye tweets Trump's autograph; John Legend is "disappointed," A$AP Ferg defends

More than fans, friends and fellow musicians are starting to weigh in.

In "News We Shouldn't Necessarily Be Surprised About," Kanye West further put his fanboying for Donald Trump on public display yesterday when he shared a photo on Twitter of a personalized autograph from the President-Elect.

Trump signed a copy of his TIME magazine cover—the one he took issue with for naming him "Person of the Year" instead of "Man of the Year."

The one with the questionably but conveniently placed "M." That one.

The signed copy read, "To Kanye, you are a great friend. Thanks, Donald Trump."

The share came just a few hours after the rapper met with Trump at his Tower—a move he later explained was to "discuss multicultural issues—and less than a month after 'Ye endorsed the Republican candidate (despite not voting at all) during a Saint Pablo Tour stop.

Fans have already weighed in on this "friendship," but now so are 'Ye's fellow musicians and collaborators.

Q-Tip, who put 'Ye on the just-released A Tribe Called Quest album, recently said the two would have to have a "serious discussion," and now G.O.O.D. music signee and friend John Legend is sharing his opinion.

According to SPIN, in a sit-down with Bloomberg Politics, Legend revealed he was "disappointed" in West, saying:

“I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to [Trump] about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt. I think Kanye was a publicity stunt. I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye that he says he would have voted for Trump. I think Trump has been corrosive, his message has been corrosive to the country. I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people, and for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing.”

But other entertainers, like A$AP Ferg, have defended Kanye. The Mob member tweeted his support, sharing his belief that the meeting was likely a "strategic" move on 'Ye's part.

"I think Kanye West is smarter than we think he is , he's getting closer to trump so he can get more insight of his plans!!! ur take ? U never know what a conversation can do. I think Kanye West was right today for meeting up with trump !!! You need to know where this man head is at !!! He rules your nation. Ye is strategic not dumb."

Only time will reveal 'Ye's motives.
