Panorama, An East Coast Coachella Coming To New York

Finally, a real-deal NYC festival!

Adrien Vargas // REVOLT

Remember a few months back when news broke that Goldenvoice, the producers of Coachella, were pushing to create a music festival in NYC? Well, the day is finally here (not the actual festival, but its official announcement).

Set to take place in New York’s Randall’s Island Park, the festival dubbed Panorama will take place July 22-24. For three nights, fans can enjoy musical performances, dynamic art installations, innovative technology and local eats.

Originally, New York festival Governors Ball organizers put forth a petition to stop the proposed Panorama from happening. Because the dates, originally set for only two weeks apart, were so close organizers feared the plummet in ticket sales. But Panorama compromised and changed its dates to a full seven weeks after Gov’s Ball so it looks like everything’s going to be “alright” (Kendrick voice).
