The long-awaited 2Pac biopic might really never see the light of day.

In what's turned out to be battle of the production companies, Emmett Furla Oasis has filed a lawsuit for $10 million against Morgan Creek for allegedly breaching an agreement between the two by moving forward with the project without the necessary approvals, and apparently casting an unannounced star to play the iconic rapper.

When Emmett and Furla became apart of the film in 2013, their agreement with Morgan Creek Productions stated that the production budget would not exceed $30 million and that they would be included in the approval of the production schedule, including having full control over who would be the director and lead actor.

In the complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the plaintiffs allege that a month after the release of "Straight Outta Compton," Morgan Creek required they produce immediate evidence they could pay half the film's production budget and agree "to new and arbitrary terms that were not part of the original ... agreement" or otherwise forfeit their participation in the project. A month later, they say, Morgan Creek informed them the budget for the project would exceed $34 million and renewed the demand for Emmett/Furla to provide 50 percent. But Emmett and Furla refused.

"Their responsibility was to come in with half the budget," Morgan Creek evp marketing and publicity Greg Mielcarz told THR. "That didn't happen. End of story."

But is it really the end?
